Finding Wedding Photos for Inspiration is Easy

Updated on May 23, 2011

Though this type of research may not be available for a wedding DJ, wedding photos are great ways to gather inspiration for upcoming wedding or an upcoming photo shoot for your wedding. However, finding them is the hard part. Sure, you could ask your friends or family to see their wedding photos, but that could end up being pretty inconvenient. It would take a lot of time, plus you might not get enough photos to give you some amazing ideas. The best way to find wedding photos is to utilize the internet and wedding magazines.

Blogs, forums, and search engines make for great tools when it comes to finding the photos you're looking for. In this case, the most simple method would be to find a search engine (Google, for example) and search for “wedding photos.” Just click on images and there you go. Doing this would provide you instantly with tons of photos, but the quality may be lacking. You could also do this on an image-browsing site, such as istockphoto.com. These types of sites are bound to give you tons of photos from weddings that would be great for inspiration. If you prefer quality over quantity, however, read on.

There are plenty of wedding forums on the internet. For one, try running a search on a search engine for a wedding forum (if I typed them here, the list would be endless). These places are full of experts and people going through the same exact thing you are. You'll find, not only great tips and other ideas for inspiration, but links to blogs and photos, too. Blogs can be a great source for wedding photos.

Try Browsing Wedding Blogs For Wedding Photos and Inspiration

The easiest way to find a wedding blog is, like I said, through forums. People could have links in their signatures, or you may find some in a random thread. Many people start wedding blogs, and these wedding blogs can be full of the photos you're looking for. People starting their own wedding blogs can be a great source, but one unexpected source that a lot of people don't think of is a photographer's blog. Wedding photographers often have blogs that are easy to find. Whether you know one in person or not, you could still find one through wedding forums or search engines.

Along with photographers' blogs, wedding blogs, forums, and search engines, you could also use magazines. Wedding magazines are everywhere, and they can be full of photos. Not only would you be able to find wedding photos in the magazines themselves, but you can also find a link from the magazine to their website, which can be another valuable source of inspiration.

When it comes down to it, you can find wedding photos for inspiration all over the internet. Using these tips, you should have no problem finding whatever you need for inspiration for your own wedding photos. It's also really helpful to keep an open mind, you never know what you'll come across in the wedding world. You'll probably find something you never even thought of, which is the best part when it comes to inspiration for anything.
